APPEARANCE

   

      EYES. Close to a pale orange, almost gold color.
      HAIR. a vibrant burnt orange color, messily layered. while originally it reached about an inch or so past the top of her shoulders, it has since grown in length and now reaches mid-bicep with a semi-messy fringe and hair framing her face.       Usually always worn down with a side-pony on the left side, held up by a colored scrunchie. Occasionally worn in a ponytail, but her hair is never done up too fancy. As of late, she’s taken to wearing it completely down, forgoing her signature       hair tie all together.
      SKIN. Not pale but not quite tan either, a comfortable middle. Generally smooth in complexion (save for scars) and soft to the touch.
      HEIGHT. 5'6"
      TATTOOS. None save for the command seals on her right hand signifying her status as a Master.

   SCARS.

      - Numerous smaller faded ones that scatter around her hands and arms and legs, hard to see if you aren’t looking. In regards to her hands, she has scarring along her knuckles and her fingertips are discolored due to near-necrosis, almost       black. Due to this and other reasons, she wears gloves a lot. Due to the toll of the Black Barrel replica finally showing on her, Ritsuka’s hands, all the way down to her wrists currently are turning black, much in the same way as her fingertips       in much the same manner so the discoloration is far more noticeable now.

      - Has a few on her stomach; one rather large one received during Shimousa where a hole was ripped into her stomach by Berserker, another smaller one from a gunshot wound after being shot during the Imperial Capital Grail war       (Gudaguda), and others that she has received during the Singularities. A few prominent ones along her back and shoulder blades, as well as a few burn scars more toward her left side and lower hip.



PERSONALITY

   (Spoiler warnings for Arc 2)

   Outwardly, it seems as if it’s easy to figure out what sort of person Ritsuka is. She could often be seen with a smile, extending a hand out in kindness or offering to help someone without needing to be asked. She is always down to have fun or    cause a little good-natured chaos and can be… a bit blunt, but never in a harsh way. She just speaks what she feels in an honest way. She’s not a necessarily selfish person, bordering more on the selfless side of things, and has a knack for being    able to brighten up a room with a few words or her presence alone. SUNSHINE is what some attribute her to with her warm smiles and golden eyes and hands that are always open. Always WILLING to reach out. And this is not exactly a lie.    Ritsuka IS kind. She is compassionate and empathetic, and has been long since before she joined Chaldea. However, these parts of her have warped over the years spent fighting and surviving. They are still a part of her and always will be, but    like plastic exposed to fire, they have become misshapen.

   " The kinder you are, the more grief you will suffer. "

   She knows loss. she knows pain and suffering and grief is a close friend of hers at this point. They have all culminated inside her chest, her heart, and have left a hole that cannot be filled. Ask her to describe these feelings, and that is what she will    say; it is like a HOLE. The deaths of Romani Archaman and Leonardo da Vinci were only the start of this hole, both having a great effect on her and her emotional state. She doesn’t talk about them and like everything else she has gone through–    the realization that fixing a Lostbelt meant destroying an entire piece of history; a world, watching others sacrifice themselves for her in order to achieve this, the loss of Musashi Miyamoto in Olympus and the ever-present realization that she will    always have this blood on her hands – she does not talk about it. Along with physical scars, proof of all she’s gone through, the emotional scars are the ones she takes care to keep hidden. Along with this is another fear she harbors within: that is    easily replaceable. that she is nothing special and anyone else can do a better job than her. She is very aware of the blood on her hands and carries the guilt of ending the Lostbelts with her constantly. There is also the fact that Ritsuka is aware    that she could die at any time. That it can come and that things will be left undone. And so, that is also why she tries her best to complete all that she can.

   In truth, she doesn't believe she’ll survive and that’s why she keeps pushing herself because she cannot leave things undone. She cannot leave the world in this state.

   Ritsuka believes that it is her duty to bear this pain and grief. along with her mistakes and decisions, they are hers to bear and no matter how PAINFUL it is, she will not allow anyone to take that from her. She wants to remember,    remember    everything. She owes that to everyone who has helped her get to where she is now and she will not let anyone, or anything, take that away from her. Even if it hurts like hell, she will keep those memories. Even if it chips away at her humanity, she    will never let that go.

   This ties into her determination, which is her most deadly of traits. Ritsuka has gone through hell and there have been many times where she came close to falling, to failing, but whether by her own will or the helping words of another, she has    never stayed down long. She knows her job. Save humanity. Protect Proper Human History. She will not stop, no matter what or who gets in her way, she will either push past it or through it to see everything through to the end. She is simply a    human being doing the extraordinary. Whether it be gods or Servants or the stars themselves, she will not stop.

   Of course, this does has it pitfalls. She is becoming more akin to a martyr than anything else, giving everything and anything to save the world, no matter what it asks of her. Her humanity is at risk, and there is something missing in her heart. But    still, she does not stop. She cannot afford to.

   Overall, she is someone who recognizes both good and evil and allows them to exist– you cannot have one without the other and what one considers to be good or evil is all dependent on the person. To her, there is no black and white. What is    good can be evil and what is evil can be good and in order for her to do what she must, she has to be both.



ABILITIES

   MAGECRAFT. While considered a pretty lackluster mage by Olga, her skills are on par with that of Lord El-Melloi II. Despite her magical circuits being pretty much untrained, they are at a high enough level to allow her to make contracts with    Servants and be turned into spiritrons in order to Rayshift. Despite being a mage, the types of skills she can use are mostly dependent on the Mystic Code she currently has on her person.

   HIGH MANA & POISON RESISTANCE. Theorized to be a result of their contract with Mash, Ritsuka is highly resistance to high levels of mana (magic power) and poison because of Mash’s blessing ability, which neutralizes any Filth-type threat    that is below the level of a Noble Phantasm.

   MYSTIC EYE IMMUNITY. Ritsuka is shown to be immune to the effects of Mystic Eye, which is essentially a power that can charm a target, hypnotize, influence them, etc. etc. She is immune to most lower levels, but not immune to God-class    Mystics, such as Euryale’s.

   COMMAND SEALS. Something every Master has that allows them to issue a command to a Servant in battle. Hers takes a unique shape and is on the top of her right hand and there are only three– however, she hardly ever needs to use them    due to her relationships with the Servants she has.

   MYSTIC CODES. Specially crafted items made to enhance a mage’s ability and proficiency with spells/magecraft. Ritsuka employs the use of them in her mission and each one comes with a unique set of spells at her disposal.
